"Park your car in the beautiful Mojacar village on the road which leads to the El Picacho (the mountain with all the telecom equipment on top which dominates the village). Take the dirt track on the left which brings you uphill to the Sierra Cabrera heights. Beautiful walking path with stunning views on the Mediterranean sea and the white village of Mojacar. The path brings you to the base of Risco del Moro. From here you climb to a steep ridge which leeds to the top. Medium difficulty. Return over the same ridge in southwest towards the Cerro de Cucar. Follow the saddle to reach the base of Cucar. Expect sticky maquis and rocky terrain. No path. Easy uphill, the last meters you need to climb on the rocks to reach the summit of Cerro de Cucar. You can do it!" — belgianIbex • Dec 15, 2024
