"revisit to the viewless summit of firtop. update: it is still viewless. this time took a short spur to a small clearing with some horse hitching posts, then ducked into the forest on a crude path to a fir tree on the edge of deep brush. looked like highest spot. testing beta of peakery app v0.2" — scott • Jun 11, 2021
"This is actually a great hike, but the name is true, other than trees there are no views on this one. I took a 3.8 up and 3.0 mile loop down trail. Horses everywhere. Pretty solid conditioning hike as well if you're looking to just break a sweat. " — puddlepirate • Dec 29, 2017
"A trail run that got away from me. Ran up to Firtop but its viewless summit just didn't seem like a fitting turnaround point, so decided to extend the run down to Wildcat Beach and back... 15 miles RT or so. Mistakenly took zero water and started to melt down on the run back up from the beach. " — scott • Sep 19, 2009
