"Another trip out as a family and the 2nd of our 3 peaks together. We were one of the first to set off from our group and one of the last down as our 4 year old struggled on the descent path, the stairs were more like a scramble for his little legs! Great views on a mix of cloudy and sunny day though." — charliegill • Oct 17, 2015

"Staying at Thorns Hall, Sedbergh, an HF guest house. With HF party by coach to the road near Ribblehead Railway Station. We went on a path northwards to the east of Ribblehead Viaduct and beside the railway line up Little Dale. We crossed over the railway line where there is an aquaduct carrying a stream over the railway. We swung westwards and then southwards to reach the summit of Whernside. The descent was generally southwards to Ingleton." — peter43 • Dec 30, 2008
