"Absolutely beautiful. I went with a group of my friends and had an absolute blast. The local town also has wonderful food, as well as also being very photogenic. Would definitely recommend!
I got the train to Hope and walked along nearby peaks, eventually reaching Mam Tor's peak, taking the same route back." — jaye223 • Jul 12, 2023
"Continuation of walk from Lord's Seat. Headed down the ridge to the road, then up on the laid stone path to the summit. To descend, followed the path down round the north flank of the hill to the road, descending on tarmac back into Edale and to Barber Booth, arriving back at the car after dusk. "With Party from Chester Rambling Club from Moorgate, CHA Guest House, Hope. Up path to Lose Hill and along ridge to Mam Tor over Barker Bank. Descended via Winnat's Pass to Speedwell Cavern where we entered and enjoyed a subterranean boat trip. Return to the house via Losehill Hall." — peter43 • Oct 14, 1962
"Leeds University Outdoor Activities Course party. Walked from Castleton Y. H. via Winyards to Mam Tor. Then via Rushup Edge, Brown Knoll to Kinder Low (2077 feet). Then walked along edge of plateau to Kinder Downfall. The wind was so strong that it blew the water of the waterfall up into the air. Walked across the plateau to Edale. Very powerful wind, mist and hail. Descended by Crowden Beck to Upper Booth and along the road to Edale Y. H." — peter43 • Feb 11, 1961
