"A return trip to this state high point after another visit to the 45°N x 90°W Half Point Marker, west of Wausau. Went up the Timms Hill Trail from County Rd. RR, west of Bass Lake this time. Slight evidence of the past week's snow on the ground. Didn't climb either tower since it was totally overcast. Returned by way of the lakeside trail out to the road." — SteveM_StickMan • Oct 15, 2022
"My 2nd in a row Jan 1st climbs - to this state high point. Thought it was fitting after visiting the 45°N x 90°W marker yesterday, while visiting family in Green Bay. A colder day with little wind made for a pleasant time with a climb up the wood observation tower. Met up with the snowshoers at the restaurant afterwards." — SteveM_StickMan • Jan 1, 2022
"As part of a 16 or 17 state highpoint blitz of the Northeast this August while working remotely 8 hrs a day from various Starbucks.
A quick 1976km 28hr odyssey that included border crossing, 4.5 sleep in back of car, and Charles Mound." — alexjoseph • Aug 2, 2019
"Stopped by on my way to the Highpointers Club Konvention in L'Anse, Michigan to check on the logbook and visit with the caretakers who run the Hill of Beans Coffee Shop across the lake." — StoneMan • Jul 24, 2019
"The park opens at 7:30 am and we were there at 7:45 AM. 39 degrees Fahrenheit and blustery, cold, wet, windy, but still worth it! Joe got cold and did not climb the observation tower with me, but he did make it to the mailbox at the base of the tower. State highpoint #17 for me and #2 for Joe!" — psychikingjes • May 18, 2019
"Beautiful day for a climb. I was a bit nervous climbing the wooden tower but had encouragement from some climbers already at the top. My wife came along, too. Good visibility. " — Badgerinmaine • Jul 28, 2017
"At midnight on July 1, 1991, 5 climbers, Pete Allard, Jim Grace, Shaun Lacher, David Sandway and myself, Dennis Stewart, took their first step off the summit of Mount Rainier and began a climbing marathon to reach the highest point in each of the 48 contiguous states in one calendar month. During the month of July in 1991, the team hiked over 250 miles, climbed over 14 vertical miles and drove over 14,000 miles. Their total time (summit to summit) was 30 days, 10 hours and 52 minutes. All 5 members of the climbing team reached every summit during the month long expedition. Timms Hill was the 35th peak climbed on this record breaking trip, which got the team recognition in Guinness Book of Records." — Stewy • Jul 17, 1991
