"This hike was tricky. Got up to what we thought was the summit (the 2nd outlook you hit), but it seemed way too fast. Located a trail sign that indicated we hadn't gone far enough. Continued on the trail and consulted the internet and figured out that we needed to keep going. Eventually found the trail to the West summit, which is the highest point. The summit was ok, but the other peak we were on had a much better view of Mirror Lake and Ragged Mountain. We got great views from there. As we hiked back from the true summit, we took an unmarked trail that brought us back to the first outlook, but it was so quick that we didnt realize we walked right past the trail down, and got halfway to the 2nd outlook before we realized our mistake and turned around. The weather turned bad on our hike out. Much colder and icy snow. Still a great hike. " — mikewilliamsjr • Nov 12, 2019
"A great day for a hike, two good friends and two fine dogs. We hiked in from Mt. Pleasant Street, the weather was perfect 25 degrees and bluebird skies. The trail was hard packed snow with some ice in places. We wore snowshoes/creepers for traction. We to the spur trail for 1/3 mile to the West Peak and then back down to the main trail to the North Peak.Round trip was a total of 4.59 miles. We meet just one other person and one other dog on the trail. Happy trails!

"My wife and I made this hike on a foggy August afternoon. As a result, the views were limited, but we did get to see the nearby ponds. Trails are blazed in blue. We parked across Rt. 17 at the Rte. 17 trailhead. There were some blueberries and small blackberries along the way. " — Badgerinmaine • Aug 20, 2016
