"Day 2 of the Bhutaneers renunion weekend. We were based in Hebden, so we walked along the River Wharfe to Burnsall and continued for several mile on the Dales Way. We crossed a small road and up past some cottages to a steep woodland track that eventually brought us out onto the open moorside. We followed the track upon up to the summit plateau and then along to the rocky summit. We returned by dropping steeply down the W side of the peak, then picked up a track heading SW to Howgill, where we rejoined our outward track for the long riverside walk back." — davidlong • Jul 22, 2012
"Last day of a short walking break in Yorkshire Dales. Weather cloudy, set off from Appletreewick in Wharfedale. Walked through country lanes to farm cottages, then took path through fields to the base of the open access land. Steeply up a muddy path to the summit crags, and then onto the summit. The sun tried to break through the cloud, but didn't quite." — davidlong • Mar 14, 2012
