"Solo trip. Busy , I saw maybe 20 people on the mountain during the day. One of the more interesting outings around Jasper. Rated easy and it was easy although fair amount of hands use hoping through large rocks and boulders." — Pawel G • Aug 5, 2023
"Had an amazing but tough day out as it was my third day straight scrambling..and in the heat. We pushed our bikes probably 90% of the way up, but it was worth it on the way down! So fast. We loved the alpine meadow at the base of the peak. It is beautiful up there😍 The peak was okay, but I'm not a blocky rock fan." — leigh-annewebster • Jul 2, 2021
"Absolutely bad ass day in the Jasper backcountry. After a short open air bivy on the pavement between the cars in the parking lot beside the bakery (Babette's request for morning stop) we were up at 5:30am (well all night really with trains) and sitting the bakery. Departed trailhead at 7:40am in 0C morning crisp. After a long ride (and push) up with skis and boots hanging off our backs we hit snow at 8.5km and began skinning. Reached the base of the mountain at 11:30am and it was warm. Sloshy skinning up the first bench we thought the typical scrambling route right might make sense but the snow lured us. Then we thought up the col to the right but the left skyline began to look really appealing. Across avy debris and we found an incredible 350m kickstep to the summit worked perfectly. Popping onto the summit at 3pm gave us an incredible 360 degree view of many mountains we haven't seen before and Robson towering in the west making Edith Cavel looking mild to the south. From there it was a ski descent starting 100m below the summit with creamy corn and then sloppy gliding 4km all the way to the bikes. Then rapid descent on bikes to parking lot shortly after 6pm.
