"Had intended to do the Loop Trail, but the weather report was questionable for the latter part of the day. The ranger discouraged us. If we had started when we were ready to, we probably could have pulled it off before it rained. But we waited and discussed and decided on something else. That was supposed to be Black Cat and South Branch. We started out on that and found the trail washed out towards the backside of the pond. We turned back and decided to out-and-back North Traveler instead. Great hike, the weather was awesome. Once at the summit, we almost made a go at the loop. We started out, but then I backed out of it. The timeline wasn't great as it was already noon at that point, and I was feeling pretty gassed. Instead, we hiked back and went for a swim. Rain didn't arrive until after 6. If we had stuck to the original plan, we could have gotten the loop in, but the mountains aren't going anywhere. I'll be back for the other 2." — mikewilliamsjr • Sep 18, 2023
"Hiked the traveler loop in the counter clockwise direction. It was a hot and sunny day, and I ran out of water before the end of the hike. The trail is very exposed and the views were amazing!" — noahthackeray • Aug 15, 2022
"Last of the peaks on the Loop. Steep descent to the campground took its toll on my already battered feet. My hiking companion and I, with over 120 years of hiking experience, agreed that this was the physically most beaten up we ever were after a day hike!" — goshen-bagger • Jul 20, 2022
"Summited as a part of a counterclockwise Traveller Loop. Amazing summits and ridgeS. Loose rock on the ascent from South Branch Pond/Center Ridge Trail was an interesting challenge." — rwthacke • Aug 1, 2020
