"My 1st real mountaineering experience.
Started at 2am and made it to the peak around 8:00am.
From crampon point it is a very steep climb mostly kn fixed ropes. We had great weather, beautiful summit day." — nandorszotak • Apr 13, 2022
"An incredible two weeks. Headed directly over the 4610 meter pass from Lukla and down to Kote over 3 days. Everyone we passed on the way out had been unable to summit due to high winds over 150km/hr. Two people were heli evacd for frostbite and another for altitude and snow blindness. Headed to high camp when the weather was just starting to turn and summited the next morning at sunrise after climbing in a full moon. Made it back to Lukla in another 4 days. "I climbed Kala Patthar in the dark so I would have a sunrise view of Everest Peak and the surrounding peaks. The view was awesome but the windchill was brutal that morning so I didn't stick around very long. I took a few photos and returned to the tea house for a warm breakfast and hooked back up with my group (they had all stayed in their warm sleeping bags). Their loss! "We summited Mera Peak after 12 days of hiking up and down passing the pass Zatrwa La 4610 m. Last two days we spend on the glacier after Mera La walking with crampons to the Base camp, High camp and Summit. We returned in Lukla in three days. Perfect weather on the summit and best view ever!" — FilipVasileski • Nov 20, 2015
"Nepal reopened after the earthquake, so back at Gokyo for the 3rd time, previously over the high passes, this time a pleasant trek up the valley. Perfect weather, great trek, great people." — davidlong • Oct 19, 2015
