"I needed to make another trip to Wodonga. Headed out to Mount Jack and Peak 1205 m to its north. Visited the summit of Mt jack on the way before activating VK3/VE-090, making 19 contacts. Travel back along my access route and then drove around to Mount Big Ben VK3/VE-105. Set up the gear and made 23 contacts before heading back to Wodonga." — peterfreeman • Jun 26, 2019
"Another day out from Wodonga. Headed out to the access road to Mount Big Ben and drove up to the summit. Walked away from the car and set up the radio gear to activate VK3/VE-105, making 26 contacts. Packed up and headed back along my access route, then north along Condons Track until I reached a locked gate with a Private Property sign. I parked nearby, then climbed north along the ridge to the east of the fence line, roughly following an old road reserve. Reach the summit of Peak 846 m, known in SOTA as VK3/VE168. I set up on the summit, making 22 contacts. Packed up and returned to the car. Drove back south to reach Dederang Road, then headed east to the Kiewa Valley Road (C531), then headed north to Kergunyah. Drove up Simpson Road and made my way around to near the summit of Peak 872 m. Parked off the track and set up the radio gear on the summit to activate VK3/VE-163, making 9 contacts. Packed up, returned to the car and retraced my route back to Kergunyah and then headed back to Wodonga." — peterfreeman • Jun 2, 2018
"Travelled around to Dederang Road and drove up to the summit of Mount Big Ben. Walked to the summit area. Set up the radio gear and activated VK3/VE-105, making 22 contacts. Packed up and returned to the car and retraced my access route to Dederang Road. Drove to Bright and up to Mount Porepunkah. Parked below the summit in some shade and walked to the trig. Returned to the car and set up the radio gear nearby to activate VK3/VE-098, making 14 contacts. packed up and retraced my route to the saddle to the east. Drove up Smart Creek Tawonga Gap Track to reach the summit of Kinder Peak / Peak 1185 m to park off the track. Set up near by and activated VK3/VE-097 , making 22 contacts. Packed up and returned to Bright.

"Drove out from Wodonga and up the access road. Parked below the summit and walked up to reach the top of Mt Big Ben VK3/VE-105. Set up in the shade of a tree on the eastern side of the summit and made 68 contacts. I packed up and returned to the car and drove around to Mount Stanley VK3/VE-126. "A SOTA day trip out of Wodonga. Travelled to Dederang and south to Running Creek, then west to Kancoona. Drove up Rosewhite Track and Mount Jack Track. A brief stop at Mount Jack to bag the summit after a short walk. Drove north to the saddle and junction with House Creek Track to Park. Walked to the summit of Peak 1205 m, known in SOTA as Mount Jack Range VK3/VE-090. I made 15 contacts. Packed up and returned to the car, then retraced my route back to Happy Valley Road, then headed west and worked my way around to Mount Stanley, VK3/VE-126.
Parked below the summit and walked around the edge of the fence to the summit. Walked down to the picnic table to set up the radio gear and made 21 contacts. Packed up and made my way back down towards Bruarong and then to Glen Creek and up Mt Big Ben Road to park below the summit.

"Drove to Mount Buffalo Plateau from Wondonga. Parked in the top car park and then walked up the access track to the summit of The Horn. Set up the radio gear with a pole in the corner of the guard railing, with half the antenna hanging down the cliff and the other half tied off back along the guard rail below the peak. Packed up after the activation, descended to car and drove around to Mount Big Ben for a short walk to the summit. Set up to activate VK3/VE-105. Returned to car and returned to Wodonga. After dinner, drove to Huon Hill for a short climb to the summit to set up and activate VK3/VE-237." — peterfreeman • Dec 31, 2012
