"A break on a trip to Melbourne. Parked in the car park and walked the circuit walk in an anticlockwise direction. I stopped at the high point and set up the radio gear to make some contacts. Completed the walk and headed off to Melbourne." — peterfreeman • May 19, 2021

"I headed out to the car park below the summit and walked to the summit. I then set up the radio gear to activate VK3/VE-237 and VKFF-0980. I made 22 contacts, including some Summit to Summit contacts. I packed up and returned to my Wodonga base." — peterfreeman • Feb 10, 2021

"I headed from Wodonga to Porepunkah, then south to Selwyn Creek Road, then Mt Murray Logging Road and up to Mount Murray to park near the locked gate. Climbed to the summit and returned to the car. I set up the station a short distance away and activated Mt Murray VK3/VE-025.
After Activating Mount Murray, I drove around to the southerly point on Twins Jeep track to park. I loaded up my gear and headed south, sidling around the western side of the closer knoll and into the saddle beyond. I then climbed the spur to the top of Peak 1357 m, known in SOTA as VK3/VE-245. I set up my gear on the summit and made the first SOTA activation of the summit. I headed back to the car via a slightly variation on my access route. I then headed out to Selwyn Creek Road and then headed north back to Wodonga." — peterfreeman • Feb 9, 2021

"The last day of the Hotham SOTA Summit. I was joined by Gerard only. We drove out to the Dargo High Plains Road, then south to Blue Rag Range Track and up to the high point just north of Mount Blue Rag, where I parked. We decided to set up the station on the knoll and did not attempt to climb Mt Blue Rag VK3/VE-021 as we were inside the 25 m vertical activation zone. We set up the radio gear and qualified the summit. After waiting to work two others on Blue Rag Range Trig VK3/VE-015, we drove out to the trig to set up the gear. We waited for the other group to reach and set up on Basalt Knob so that we could work them before we packed up. We then travelled to Basalt Knob VK3/VE-039 and climbed up to the summit. We packed up and headed back tot he car and drove back tot eh Great Alpine Road. Gerard transferred to the other vehicle and I headed north to Wodonga for the night. I worked the others later when they were on Mount Loch." — peterfreeman • Feb 8, 2021
