"Drove from Wodonga to Beechworth and Stanley, then out to Mount Stanley. Parked in the car park area and walked to the high point. returned to the car and set up the radio gear to activate VK3/VE-126. I made 12 contacts before UTC midnight (1100 am local time) and another 31 contacts after UTC. I packed up and drove back to Stanley, then towards Myrtleford. I made my way up to Peak 805 m and parked near the summit. It was just a short walk tot eh high point. I set up the radio gear near the car to activate VK3/VE-178, making13 contacts. I packed up and made my way north towards VK3/VE-197 to park as high as I dare drive. I walked up to the summit and set up the gear to activate VK3/VE197, making 15 contacts. "Drove from Wodonga to the Mount Buffalo Plateau and around to the car park below The Horn VK3/VE-014. Walked up to the summit and set up the radio gear. First contact was with Mitch on Mount Field East in Tasmania. Later I worked Ian on Livingston Hill in NSW. Overall, I made 28 contacts. I packed up and returned to the car and drove around to the saddle below The Cathedral to park. I walked up the walking track and up to The Hump VK3/VE-019. I set up the gear and my first contact was Paul on Brown Hill Range VK5/SE-004 in SA. Later I worked Marija on the same summit. Overall, I made 11 contacts. I packed up and descended to the car. I then drove to Poreunkah and made my way up to Mount Porepunkah. I walked to the trig and set up at the trig, making 8 contacts to qualify VK3/VE-098. I packed up, returned to the car and then descended to the main road. I decided to drive around to Mount Stanley VK3/VE-126. I walked up to the summit and set up nearby, making 8 contacts before packing up. I returned to the car and drove back to Wodonga." — peterfreeman • Dec 31, 2016
"Drove out from Wodonga and up the access road. Parked below the summit and walked up to reach the top of Mt Big Ben VK3/VE-105. Set up in the shade of a tree on the eastern side of the summit and made 68 contacts. I packed up and returned to the car and drove around to Mount Stanley VK3/VE-126. I again walked to the summit and set up, making 24 contacts. I packed up and then drove back to Wodonga." — peterfreeman • Dec 30, 2015
"A SOTA day trip out of Wodonga. Travelled to Dederang and south to Running Creek, then west to Kancoona. Drove up Rosewhite Track and Mount Jack Track. A brief stop at Mount Jack to bag the summit after a short walk. Drove north to the saddle and junction with House Creek Track to Park. Walked to the summit of Peak 1205 m, known in SOTA as Mount Jack Range VK3/VE-090. I made 15 contacts. Packed up and returned to the car, then retraced my route back to Happy Valley Road, then headed west and worked my way around to Mount Stanley, VK3/VE-126.
Parked below the summit and walked around the edge of the fence to the summit. Walked down to the picnic table to set up the radio gear and made 21 contacts. Packed up and made my way back down towards Bruarong and then to Glen Creek and up Mt Big Ben Road to park below the summit.
