"Target peak of the day was Cram Peak. While on the shoulder of Morton Peak, I extended out 2.5 miles on to the long ridge. After finding the register on the summit, I returned the same way. I went ahead and included Morton Peak also, since it was about a tenth of a mile away." — MikeTeeples • Dec 3, 2023
"After a quick stop on Morton Peak, I followed LPC directions to a Cram Peak. The route follows a long retired dirt road, which is very overgrown. Several ticks came along for the ride on the bushwhacking route. I also took the time to summit the other three bumps along the way to Cram. Meanwhile, the summit register was filled with ants, as it appeared that somebody left something edible inside. Only a few crumbs were left among the swarming ants. My entry was only the second one this year! The bushwhack on the way back didn’t seem so bad, I guess since I had already been there and done that. LPC #60." — MikeTeeples • May 27, 2019
"With Shannon, Wes, Loki, and Zeus. Good bit of brush on the old road. Ridgetop use trail from near the lookout down to the old road is in good shape and avoids a good chunk of the old road." — tombecht • Dec 5, 2015
"Cram Peak, apparently is so-named because it is crammed with as many gnats per cubic foot of air as is possible without some breakdown in the local eco-system. That being said, it's a tough hike with some very steep sections of trail, but also some really fantastic views and a variety of terrain. There were supposed to be two Benchmarks up there: one near the summit and one lower down. I only found the latter, which was in pristine shaped despite being planted in 1928.
