"Note, this is to the south west of Cima Formale. I wasn’t far on my walk to that top, nor to Lestra Gigante more to its west. Caprarella is one of three mounds that seem dwarfs when looked down upon. Some days later I explored them.
I visited these after my walk to Lestra Gigante (1/6/2026). After the huts and the terraces I worked my way through the undergrowth along faint tracks, onto a small hill before it and then up. The vegetation was dense, with closely growing trees that needed squeezing through, and getting lots of pine needles down one’s back for one’s efforts. At the top a calf was standing there watching me. And behind the bush a large mother cow sitting with two other calfs. She got up really quickly and bolted down the other side of the hill. I thrashed my way back down. I don’t think there is one particular best way to reach this. You just need to press through. Not too rocky but dense.
