"On the way to these peaks it was raining hard on the road near the town of Cehegín, this made me believe that today I was going to get wet during the route, in the end the wind has blown away the clouds and the sun has made an appearance .
These three peaks are on the same ridge but to access them you have to go up and down, up, down and up. The views are very good but there is no defined path and you have to find your life a bit, there is not much scrub but the terrain is very stony and rocky.
At Pico San Juan a group of mountain goats ran off as soon as they heard me and near Cerro del Pelao there was a goat's foot that perhaps a fox put there. I have not seen vultures today but I did see an eagle playing with the thermal air currents and many birds." — franciscobirruezo • Mar 18, 2023

"Near Venta Cavila I saw a caravan of vintage cars, including a chevrolet from the fifties. I follow my route to El Sabinar. It's a good day and I make the three peaks in absolute solitude, I have good feelings today, my legs respond well and I walk at a good pace. Climbing the San Juan Peak I find some beehives in front of me, I take a detour and continue the climb.
At the summit, I head east along the divide to reach Cerro Pelao. From this summit I retrace my steps now in a westerly direction to reach the Puntal del Francés. I go next to a fence that some ignorant put there and forgot to remove and sometimes complicates my progress." — franciscobirruezo • May 11, 2019
