"Tom, Tyler, Black and I left the trailhead at 9:25 am with overcast skies, light breeze with light flurries and 30 degrees. Trail was half snow and half ice and frozen to the summit. Micro spikes up and down. Summit was clouded in with blowing snow and no views. Summited at 11:10. Back to car at 12:25. 4 miles RT in 3 hrs." — garyogden • Dec 22, 2021
"5.13 miles roundtrip & 1556 feet of elevation gain. Beautiful hike, though the first half is very rocky & root filled, & the second half is full of steep rock slides. But the gorgeous views make the trek so worth it! Peak foliage this weekend!" — EmilyDoucet729 • Oct 9, 2021
"It was my first hike of the year.Great trip found out old high-school bud was climbing.I really forgot how much I've missed climbing,up to this day I claimed 6 high peaks.Plus bald mountain. This was a great scenic hike.Unfortunately was overcast with a slight mix of rain and sleet on top.Views were OK, I'll return one day.For better views of this mountain. " Autum like weather at the bottom and winter on the summit, very little wind but with a little sun made for some amazing views,, wow! T icy rocks@ above 3000ft,, moderate climb, great views from the fire tower" — ramjet1963 • Nov 4, 2018
"Great early morning hike! I had heard that this hike can be a highway of people and I enjoy quiet hikes, so I started on the trail at 7:30am and didn't see anyone else until halfway down from the summit. This is a steep rocky hike - 4 miles round trip sounds like an easy hike, but for inexperienced hikers this would not be easy. I enjoyed the trail and the summit." — PJSelmer • Jul 23, 2017
"Enjoyed a beautiful blue bird skies hike of Blue Mountain with friends. The trail was in wonderful shape and the views were incredible! A nice little 4.0 mile round trip hike of a great mountain." — deb-and-rob • Feb 20, 2017
"What an incredible hike! Very rocky, lots of steep faces, and we climbed it in the rain with a 3 month old, yikes! But reaching that summit with climbable fire tower was worth every second! Wish the view had less wires, but still an incredible experience. Will update with pictures later." — MalloryHDeRue • Jun 29, 2016
"Solo summit. The beginning of the trail in was lovely with a bit of accent snow and lots of fallen leaves. About halfway in, the trail became a sheet of slick ice that my microspikes didn't even want to grab onto. Exerted a lot of energy stomping my feet to get traction. I went early in the day and had no views, but it was still a great hike with a beautiful snowy summit. " — kellieirene • Dec 5, 2015
"Hiked this with my best friend of 37 years. He's not a hiker, but he was able to do this with only a few stops to rest on the way up. This is just under 3 miles from trailhead to summit. There were no surprises and the trail seems to have a steady consistent elevation from start until you near the summit.Summit views are limited unless you climb the firetower or walk toward the cabin near one of the giant antennas that litter this beautiful place." — johngilligan • Sep 6, 2015
"Hiked Blue with my wife & dog Cooper. One of the last big hikes for the old boy as age & deteriorating health would soon slow
him down. Beautiful day with views from the tower reaching in all directions." — billsussdorff • Sep 3, 2015
