"Meetup group hike taking the other half of the Precipice Path I hadn't done yet. Our small group was the only ones out in this area of the Belknaps. Crazy scramble up the waterfall section! It was a terrific breezy day with the relentless black flies!" — SteveM_StickMan • May 12, 2025
"Lots of snow in the Belknaps still, but felt a lot like mashed potatoes on this warm and sunny winter day. Went up the Red trail and hit Mt Anna, then over to Straightback and down Blueberry Pasture." — Alohabuffy • Mar 18, 2023
"A hike for Molly to finish her Belknap 12. We parked in the Major trailhead and headed off to Straightback first. Then we went over to Anna, then Mack. We went down to Round Pond, then up to Klem, then onwards to Rand. We hit both peaks of Quarry. Then on to Straightback, then Major for the finish. We came down the Boulder Tr back to the car. "We finished up Redlining the Belknaps by completing the Dave Roberts Quarry trail. So we celebrated with a big loop hike peak-a-palozza hitting W. Quarry, Rand, Klem, Mack, Anna and E. Quarry. Beautiful blue skies, great day to be out in the Belknaps." — Alohabuffy • Apr 2, 2022
"Fresh two inches of powder overnight. A little messy in spikes, not enough coverage for shoes. Tying up some loose ends on the red-lining chart. Down to Goat Pasture and up to Anna on the Red Trail. Then down Precipice. " — Alohabuffy • Mar 13, 2022
"Up Stagecoach to Red then over on blue to Straightback. Sunny started at 7:52 45 degrees no wind but chilly. Reached the summit at 9:41. No views on Anna so we took pictures of the summit cairn and left at 9:42. Reached the summit of Straightback at 11:00. Down Blueberry Pasture. Easy road but seemed like a long journey. Straightback had nice south and southwesterly views. Beautiful sunny day. Spent 15 minutes on the summit. Reached the truck at 12:55. 64 degrees at the finish.

"Eastern Belknap look to finish up the Belknap 12s for two of our group - Fairhiker and Alison. Got a early enough start to be the only two cars in the Jesus Valley Road TH - quiet (just passed by a single runner) until the Quarry Trail. Fairly bug-free (surprising) until the summit of Rand- then the black flies swarmed and kept wanting our blood. We deviated from the trails with a shortcut through the woods from the col between Rand and Mack and the BRT near Anna. 7.7 mile loop on a sunny late May day followed by ice cream in Alton- a great time. "A loop hike to close out my Belknap 12. Good hike. Picked up 17 ticks and killed all of them. Not the greatest views on these mountains, but there were a couple here and there." — newenglandwarrior • Jun 28, 2019
"Great day out in the Eastern Belknap Range. Loop hike starting from the Mt Major trailhead and hitting the following peaks: Mt Major, Straightback Mountain South Peak, Mount Anna, Mount Mack, Mount Klem, Mount Rand, West Quarry Mountain, East Quarry Mountain, Straightback Mountain North Peak." — kpreston21 • Apr 28, 2018
"ook mtn trail from Jesus Valley Rd to South peak, then the Precipice path to check out cascades and the falls! From there on the blue trail to Anna, then back to south peak and out!" — blackwolf_03278 • Apr 14, 2017
