"From Moraine Lake we headed out Eiffel Lake Trail to the base of the Wastach Pass. The walk along the Valley of the 10 Peaks is perhaps the most beautiful views in the world that I have seen. Lunch at Lake Eiffell. But the pass was still covered in deep snow. So instead we went back then up the Larch Valley to Lake Minnetisma. The lake was still frozen over, we were at around 7950 ft el. Fantastic area, one side is the 10 Peaks, then Mt Eiffell, Mt Pinnacle, Sentinal Pass and the biggest monster of a mountain over this way, Mt. Temple. Just unbelievable sights, one after another. And don't forget Moraine Lake." — Alohabuffy • Jul 9, 2022
"It was a rainy morning and I had a good feeling about getting a parking spot. Arrived just before 9am and still plenty of parking. I enjoyed the summit for 3 hours watching the clouds roll around. Seen about 20 people all day until I arrived back at the lake and parking lot where I was greeted by at least 200 people walking around." — Randy • Aug 20, 2021
"We got to Moraine Lake parking lot just after 7 and the lot was already full. We were able to park legally, and in a good spot, not far from the parking lot. The approach trail had a dusting of snow and was very busy with people heading up to Larch Valley. We left the herd behind the moment we turned off for Eiffel Lake. The trail was good and we were able to oversee the valley. From Eiffel Lake we turned to the slopes. The first slope was steep and had snow. The second slope was a bit trickier as there was anywhere from 6 to 12 inches of snow over the boulder field. The last part to the summit had yet even a little more snow. Some of the snow was supportive, some not. There were no views at the summit as I think it snowed before we got to Eiffel Lake and didn't stop." — BertB • Sep 29, 2018
"Met up with Bert for an easy one. The two cruxes of the day were finding a parking spot (lot full at 7) and making our way through the crowds on the Larch Valley trail.
Very few people went off to Eiffel Lake...things were much better off the main trail.
The ascent gully (from the lake) had ankle deep snow, and was a bit slick (frozen mud), but manageable. The upper slopes had significant accumulation. Weaving through a buried boulder field was a challenge, but a group ahead had broken trail, so that helped. That group stopped less than 100m from the summit. We continued. It was okay, deeper but not steep.
No summit views.
Beers to celebrate on the summit and back at Tommy's in Banff.
Nice day. " — mike_rogers81 • Sep 29, 2018
