"I parked north of the usual trailhead, just off the main road, due to the construction. I made my way down the wash to the trail and then up. This was a fun peak, and the final section up the chute was nice. " — ZachTeich • Sep 14, 2023
"A great all-around day hike. The trail is well-graded and passes through some great groves of cacti at the beginning, steepens considerably when it begins heading up to the saddle, and then from the saddle to the summit is an exciting but not overly exposed Class 3 scramble up a narrow rocky chute. Overall rating 8/10, a very fun climb for anyone who loves a bit of rock climbing and a definite bucket-list climb for any hikers who live around Wickenburg." — MountainQuest • Mar 26, 2021
"Day trip out to Vultures Peak southwest of Wickenburg. Pretty straightforward trail until you get to the "saddle" and then it turns very steep and rocky. Good hiking shoes with good grip are needed for this part." — lawrencebaker • Feb 15, 2015
"Did this hike the day after Valentines day! It had been on my list for a while! The hike was relatively straight forward, but if you wish to summit there is a little scrambling to do. I am scared of major class 3 and 4 scrambling, but while this was some mile class 3 and 4 I was okay going up. Coming down was a little bit scary but made my way down slowly. There is another mountain to the left that my boyfriend climbed up to. Lots of scree coming down, so i used my poles. " — PrincessDi • Feb 14, 2015
