Vimy Peak - Arras Peak - Vimy Ridge SE/GR939323 is a pretty known route and no need in details.
Wanted to continue it to Crypt and Boswell, based on Nugara's TRs (https://anugara.net/boswell.html)
Crypt Peak
Route from GR939323 to connecting ridge is obvious and easy. It is much more interesting once you get to Crypt's red rock summit block. Very enjoyable moderate scramble, looks and feels like giant's steps filled with pebbles. The only thing on descent, some of those "steps" appear to be slabs and "pebbles" - loose scree. We were expecting to at least find a snowpack for water, but it was bone dry... Oh boy!!... We had 1/2 a litre of water for the next day. That night and the next morning, thunderstorm after thunderstorm rolled over us... We collected rain water running off the tent with every pot, pan and cup we had... Managed to get a few litres of water. That morning we decided not to climb Arras Peak (all of 150m more and we would have done it). For adventure, we came down the east side of the valley (a little treacherous), eventually getting back to the old campground. By this time we knew we might miss the boat (which was supposed to pick us up the next day, but we decided not to stay another night). We raced down only to miss the boat by an hour... Now what to do? My son stood on the boat dock just as a motorboat came by. He stuck out his thumb and th..." — DougGHenderson • Jul 20, 2009
