"I started the hike from my vehicle at a pretty good pace. The trail is about as easy to see and follow as a neighborhood street. The trail, which looks more like a seldom used jeep track, headed north and then back south as it ascended to the saddle. The trail to the summit wound its way along the ridge through the boulders, making this part of the trail surprisingly interesting to hike. It also seemed to be pretty well maintained for an unmarked trail. I suspect it gets a lot of traffic from the surrounding neighborhoods. It took me about an hour to get to the top where I enjoyed a nice sunset and view of the Phoenix Mountain Preserve and the downtown area to the south and the full moon rising over the McDowell Mountains to the east. Nothing terribly spectacular about this hike, but it was nice enough for the surrounding views." — lawrencebaker • Oct 3, 2017
"Had been planning on tagging nearby point 1437' first, but it's tiny bump and surrounded by homes. Had better luck on this little peak. There were a few 'No Tresspassing' signs but it is on the preserve and I think it's so people don't mess with the FAA tower up top. " — Christopher • Jul 28, 2017
