"I bypassed Waterman Mountain while beginning the hike across from the Buckhorn entrance. The trail picks up Twin Peaks Trail eventually and continues to Twin Peaks. I ascended Twin Peak East first, then mostly followed a use trail to Twin Peaks West. After visiting the peaks, I always find the climb back out to be the toughest climb of the day." — MikeTeeples • Sep 17, 2022
"Peak 3 of 3 on 8/22/17. This peak was easy to reach from Twin Peaks East (7,761'), which itself was a long climb over Waterman Mountain (to its summit first), down to Twin Peaks Saddle, and up partially cross-country to Twin East. To get to Twin West, I hiked mostly cross country (there was a faint path that faded in and out) across the saddle of the 2 peaks. The whole hike was about 12.5 mi round-trip with 3,800'-3,900' feet gain and loss with a few huge ups and downs both ways! Tough but rewarding hike. I even saw Mule Deer and Bighorn Sheep!!!!" — brianpowell • Aug 22, 2017
