"This is a prominent peak in the area with radio towers on top. That being said, it is surprising to me that it doesn't seem to have an established name. To begin the hike, I parked at the end of Vantage Point Drive in Rowland Heights. A paved road continues on behind a locked vehicle gate. In 0.4 miles, the trail ends abruptly at another locked vehicle gate. This time there are posted signs for private property. On the left at that point is a locked gate for the facility on top of the mountain. It is a very short walk from the locked vehicle gate to the actual top of the mountain, but it is inaccessible without trespassing. The other nearby summit, Peak 1119, is also on private property but further down the road (which splits off to the right). Since I was essentially on top of the mountain, as far as I could legally get, I will go ahead and claim it. But certainly, if there is another way up that I am unaware of, then I will go that way next time. Meanwhile, Peak 1119 remains unconquered." — MikeTeeples • Feb 23, 2020
