"This hike was started at 10 AM. I climbed a bit though the heat to summit the first peak. Then I descended through a meadow where the first peak is located. The meadow had nice views. After that I descended to the trail and then af tee r that climbed the second peak. The second peak had the best views of this whole hike. After descending through a meadows on the other side of the summit I turned right and went though a sort of shady canyon. At the canyon I went through it to get to the regional park. At the regional park there was a small forest with a bridge. After climbing though a barren area, Forest, and eventually a meadow, I reached the top of the trail. After that was a long descent and then a long passage through a shady canyon and then a road" — lc444 • Oct 22, 2023

The dead-end was well-short of the peak, to the southeast of the summit. I found a use trail heading northwest, so I followed it steeply uphill and it soon turned into more of a game trail in the old dried mustards common in the area. It entails very minor bushwhacking in the dried mustard plants, but nothing difficult. I followed that also northwest and reached the summit area with more power lines. It is about .65 mi one way with the road-use trail-game path to summit. I made it a loop by following Black Walnut Trail from the summit area back to Fullerton Rd which was .6 miles of hiking making for a..." — brianpowell • Dec 3, 2020
