"Some sources classify this ascent as "Class 3 terrain". I expected a bit of challenging scrambling but found none. It's just a steep hike on the loose rock and hard packed dirt: an "easy scramble" or Class 1 terrain. A bloody long hike. It feels much harder than it is due to the distance involved and remoteness. Some sources recommend bringing an ice-axe. I didn't bring it and didn't need. Bone dry conditions. The crux of the outing was fording Drummond Creek in the late afternoon. The water was up to my thigh and very fast moving. Given the looseness of the terrain, this is likely a good early season objective: glissading should be fantastic in June!" — Taras • Jul 25, 2021
