"Two of my brothers and our friend made it to the summit of Hayes, first stopping at Peak 4232 and then continuing down the south ridge to the saddle there. We went down a different canyon back to our car. The hike was awesome, and the scenery and the views were pretty good. It was definitely hazy in the east valley, so the views that way weren't too great, but we enjoyed our little adventure and the challenge it provided." — ZachTeich • Feb 15, 2020
"Car to summit in 3:45, trailless the entire way. Went up the broad N-S running ridge to the east, then had a lot of ups and downs to the summit. A good amount of scrambling along the way. Register shows only about 2 people/ year, although it was kind of hidden near the helicopter landing. Descended the canyon between the summit and 4232' which was tedious with a few dry waterfalls to get around, but probably saved a good hour.
