"I got sick with that annoying cold that's going around, but I needed to get out. Stephan was willing to make the drive and he ended up actually enjoying our day out.. We walked the Red Rocks Parkway and ascended via Spirko's route to the col and then did the eastern high point and Bellevue Hill. Saw lots of sheep and I got four ticks on me, mostly in my hair. Stephan had one.. We saw a few people out but no one on the mountain. Waterton is slowly drying up!" — leigh-annewebster • Apr 7, 2023
"First Summit of the Season. We attempted Nugara's scramble route, but it proved to be too much for Liz, who was fresh off shoulder surgery. Scrambling is tough with one arm.
We backtracked and hiked Nugara's suggested descent. No problems, but dozens of ticks. Worthwhile if you are short on time. There are better options for prime season. " — mike_rogers81 • May 6, 2017
"Solo summit via the third rib, direct to the false summit and then over to the true summit. High winds gusting around 70 km/hr. till just before the false summit and then gorgeous sunny calm weather the rest of the day." — Mountainman • Oct 4, 2014
