"Starting from the carpark near the Warren House Inn and heading east skirting the north of Birch Tor, then following the Two Moors Way across to near Hookney Tor, a slight detour to tick off Shapley Tor, then picking up the Two Moors Way again and following it south via Grimspound, Hameldown Tor and along the ridge line all the way down to Wind Tor. After brief stop for lunch, headed back north via the road crossing the river at Challacombe medieval village picking up the track through Challacombe Farm. Then the near vertical climb up Challacombe down before passing the ancient stone row, old mine works and ascending Birch Tor to complete the loop before heading back to car park. Solo. Very hot sunny day." — MuchMoorWalking • Jun 12, 2021

"Jan 7 family walk: a short easy stroll from the north car park. A small unassuming Tor but from the south quite substantial! Very nice geology and nice flat outcrops. Absolutely stunning views :)" — torbagger • Jan 7, 2018
