Walked up Mt Tuhua via the track then continued to Pt1085m and a little beyond before retracing my steps. Saw two deer grazing on a slip soon after commencing walking. On the tops I saw several powelliphanta snail shells, quite a few gentians in flower and a number of white butterflies. Reddy/pink snow berries were fruiting. Wx was hot above the bushline. No other people were seen while out in the hills.
