"Single day solo hike. Started from top of the Jorasse chairlift, hiked to Cabane Rambert, then up the semi-marked scramble to the top of Grand Muveran. The goat’s path is gnarly in places and route finding tricky as you weave around snowfields. I was happy to have my ice axe as some snow travel was unavoidable. I did not need boots or crampons. At the top you are rewarded with an awesome view of Valais, Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva. Got back to chairlift with only 10 minutes to spare." — danishclimber • Jun 27, 2023

"Walked from lake geneva upto tete du paccot. Following trails through the villages. Was a lovely walk upto le cou cou on pretty much road or paved tracks. From here the tracks took a rougher more unstable footing and severely steeper. Almost reaching the summit the weather turned and the clouds came rolling in. Being on my own and under prepared for bad weather I turned around at around 1,400 metres. Very enjoyable day out with glorious views. " — thc4ms • Sep 7, 2019

"Rest day at Swiss Orienteering Week at Gtaad. Weather was forecast to be not good. I took advantage of special offer to go by train to Rochers-de-Naye.
