"Single day solo hike. Started from top of the Jorasse chairlift, hiked to Cabane Rambert, then up the semi-marked scramble to the top of Grand Muveran. The goat’s path is gnarly in places and route finding tricky as you weave around snowfields. I was happy to have my ice axe as some snow travel was unavoidable. I did not need boots or crampons. At the top you are rewarded with an awesome view of Valais, Mont Blanc and Lake Geneva. Got back to chairlift with only 10 minutes to spare." — danishclimber • Jun 27, 2023
"Solo. After staying overnight at Cabane de Plan Névé I descended to the west and then traversed across to join the path to Cabane Rambert. In the afternoon I climbed Grand Muveran by the normal route from Cabane Rambert which involves some scrambling. I returned to Cabane Rambert for the night and descended to Les Plan next day. The weather was good." — peter43 • Jul 31, 1988
