"The three reservoirs walk: It was a meh day and had decided to do yet another round of the 'tors of Shaptor Woods'. But visiting three days before and still wanting somewhere close to home I decided to do the reservoirs. I was really surprised by the low water levels of Tottiford. Anyway, on to the tor. I had wanted to walk around Kennick if I could, but couldn't. By the trout fishing area I saw a closed off car park (still marked on OS maps as open) and sprawling outcrops just above. I wanted to investigate; there was a clear path up to them. I searched on my phone for these outcrops that were obvious. Nothing. I 360'd the tor and took a few photos, in hope of me discovering a new tor at 14, now 15. Baffled though as these outcrops are really visible from the road. The name 'Kennick Roads' came to my mind. Purely because of the surroundings. It would be so cool to get this tor recognised and for me to able to say 'I've named that' and maybe to become famous... I wish. Moorland Walker (Paul Buck) and Tim Jenkinson are serious tor baggers and have helped me find many tors I wouldn't have ever known of. They are planning a visit here which is exciting!" — torbagger • Nov 4, 2017
