"I've become a big fan of Sandwich Mountain Trail. Though the views from each of these peaks are lovely, the trail itself was a big highlight for me. Open and twisting with beautiful mosses and lichens. There were a few steep sections, a few muddy sections, and one eroded section, but overall it was clear and very enjoyable. The Sandwich summit is not very large and has a slightly more obstructed view than the other two peaks, but what you can see is far reaching. We opted to split off from Sandwich Mnt Tr to Drake's Brook Tr on the way down. Not as pretty, but very fast and easy on the joints due to its it's easy grades. Not clearly marked. 6hrs total, including food on each peak, lots of photo and water breaks, and one bio break on the way down." — gooner • Sep 5, 2020
"I did some red-lining up Sandwich Dome. I went across Guinea Pond Tr, then up Sandwich Notch Rd, then Algonquin Tr, then down Bennett Tr. This was the last hike I needed to close out the Waterville Valley chapter in red-lining. 3 down, 9 to go. " — newenglandwarrior • Sep 28, 2018
"Beautiful hike today on noon / jennings / sandwich. It was a long trek on the loop (with 6 mountains under my belt this week) but a really great hike. Almost all of the trees have now turned and fallen. " — shay-shay • Oct 20, 2016
"Bagged this with Noon Peak and Jennings Peak. The Sandwich Mountain trail definitely had several steep sections to it! The last 0.5 mile or so to the summit just felt relentless after all the elevation we'd gained just to get that close. The view was great from atop the rocks on the summit. Met a trio of other hikers up top that were awesome to talk with as they explored the Sandwich Range." — HikeLikeMike • Jun 18, 2016
"Enjoyed a nice three summit hike on a crisp fall day today. The bottom of the clouds were hovering about eye level when we reached Noon Peak and completely engulfed us on top of Sandwich. On the way up we were reminded by some other hikers that Sandwich was included in the New England 100 Highest. Knowing that I have already summited most of the New England 4000 footers this 100 Highest list will no doubt become a new obsession for me. On the way back down we made the quick side trip up to Jennings and were finally rewarded with some awesome views that were quickly clouded back over again. At 14 feet less than a 4000 footer Sandwich doesn't get the traffic of some of it's neighbors which is a shame because it's a great hike with some great views if the weather cooperates." — SteveG • Nov 27, 2015
"Hiked Jennings and Sandwich today, then hiked to Fletcher Cascades while in the area. Sunny in the area providing great views and could see low cloud cover on 4000 footers to the north in Franconia Notch to Crawford Notch. 10.9 mi." — newenglandwarrior • Sep 12, 2014
"Third time must be the charm - as this was the first time I made it to Sandwich Dome. No views - just like the last two times, but snowshoes were NOT needed.

"I've hiked this many times over the years. Unfortunately, cell & camera were dead before I hit the summit, so no pics.
