"Started at the pista de Royo Marera heading toward Cortijo Grande. The trail quickly dropped into a steep canyon to the left of the road, a rugged descent that required careful footing. Once at the bottom, the climb began in earnest up the Loma del Muerto. The ascent was steep and exposed, but steady, leading to the summit of El Muerto at 695 meters. A geodesic marker stood at the top, marking the high point. The sky was dramatic—dark clouds overhead slowly gave way to patches of blue, revealing expansive views across the surrounding ridges and valleys.
From El Muerto, the trail continued along a ridge toward two unnamed peaks. The first, slightly higher at 697 meters, offered a wide panorama and a sense of quiet remoteness. The second, at 615 meters, was gentler but still offered rewarding views. The terrain between them was playful and varied, with short climbs and dips along the ridge.
The descent followed a peak-hopping route toward Cortijo la Peña Blanca. The trail softened as it dropped, winding through low scrub and limestone outcrops.
