"After a solid morning hike, the second climb of the day led to the 411-meter peak near Guazamara, a quiet village in the Pulpi region. The terrain was familiar—sandstone rock formations, shaped by time and wind, giving the landscape its distinct rugged character. The ascent was steady, with patches of sticky green maquis adding a bit of resistance along the way. Reaching the top, the view stretched over the surrounding hills, a mix of rolling terrain and rocky outcrops. The descent followed a gentle slope, making for a smooth return.
Pulpi is home to several similar sandstone peaks, including Cabezo de las Cabras (309m) and Cabezo Pelado, both offering great hiking routes with unique rock formations. The region’s geology, shaped by erosion and coastal winds, makes every climb an interesting experience." — belgianIbex • May 22, 2025
