"Starting near Embalse de Cuevas de Almanzora, the route begins with a steep climb to Peak 369 m, offering immediate elevation and sweeping views of the reservoir below. From there, the path stays at altitude, leading to a gradual descent onto a gravel track that winds toward a Galasa water facility. At the foot of this building, the second ascent begins, leading to secondary peaks (435m, 451), covered with sticky green especially this period of the year, before transitioning into a northwest stretch over rolling green hilltops. The final approach to Loma de Variegato is marked by gentler terrain, with the expansive Andalusian landscape unfolding in every direction, especially the mediterranean coast, Sierra Almagrera, Sierra de Almagro with the Cucharon top very vissible with the antennas, and Sierra Cabrera with the white village of Mojacar as a landmark.
