"An actual 'summit' is hard to find at Tomewin as it is more a continuous ridgeline than peak.
None-the-less, there is a rocky escarpment view point to be found amongst the overgrowth on the way to the little known 'Hanging Rock' bushwalk. A great morning walk on the Southern Gold Coast / Northern NSW border. Only 15 minutes from both Currumbin Valley and/or Murwillumbah.
The trail head has to be the cattle grid at the NSW/QLD border crossing, parking at this point is not easy around this area, try down the road a little on the QLD side.
Begin on the QLD side of the border fence and follow the council/utility access road 'East bound'. This is only a short walk of around 3+ klm from the border crossing, flat and undulating you follow the fence the whole time. Two thirds of the way along, keen eyes will spot some plastic sheath on the barbed wire, climb through to the NSW side and scramble up the steep rocky outcrop, carefully gain a foot hold as the vegetation clears to show a nice escarpment drop off point with good views to the south/east and west over the Tweed Valley.
