"Started out of the Patterson Road Trailhead. It was a cold, but sunny day. The switchbacks to Prospect overlook added about half a mile more than the trail mileage online. The overlook had an amazing view of Williamstown and the valleys. Turned left towards Mount Williams, which had a few peaking views, and then through to Mount Fitch, which had no views at all (at least I couldn't find any). I turned back through Williams and back to the Overlook and then went out and back to Mount Prospect before heading back to the trailhead. The hike was a total of 11 miles. Some steep and icy parts at times, but not too difficult." — gregoryskiba • Nov 20, 2021

"Husband and daughter dropped me off at AT crossing on Notch Rd. I climbed steeply on the AT, which had an excellent viewpoint at the intersection with Mount Prospect Trail. The Prospect Trail seemed less steep. It was not as scenic as I expected, but afforded glimpses of the gulf. We had kept in contact by cellphone and I turned around when I thought they'd had enough of waiting for me by auto sightseeing. I felt confident that I could have reached the summit and will definitely go back." — barbaratraver • May 20, 2016

"Hiked up from Pattison Road lot and continued south across ridge to Money Brook Trail. Looped back north to Wilbur's Clearing and back out to Pattison. The hike up was a bit more challenging than we expected. Weather was perfect and their were several gliders soaring over the summit when we got there, quite the sights. The descent is also a bit tricky and slow going until you reach Money Brook. " — Gregrog • Aug 9, 2014

"Beautiful Warm (45 degrees) Sunny Day! Trail was muddy & steep. Views were great, the sun came out just as we hit the summit. Fun bushwack down - my partner doesn't like trails." — PJSelmer • Jan 1, 2012
