The road is pretty rough and high clearance is recommended.
However, the hike is well worth it. The first part follows the Mazatzal Divide Trail which happens to be part of the Arizona Trail system. On the North side of the peak a big cairn invites you to leave the trail and start an off-trail cross-country jaunt to the summit. It is steep in parts but there are enough cairns to help follow a decent route.
Beautiful 360 degrees view on top.
