"Parked at the summit then walked around the wine shanty track and then back up. Was a very nice walk on a nice day, although it was steep up and down into and out of the gully." — Hiyouboots • Feb 24, 2024
"Left Mount Barker and drove through the Adelaide Hills to reach Mount Gawler. Parked off the road and set up the radio gear on the road reserve to activate VK5/SE-013, making 11 contacts. Spoke with the property owner when he came out to leave for some shopping. He granted permission to visit the trig station, only about 15 m or so inside his property. Ipacked up and worked my way south to Mount Lofty. I parked in the car park and visited the summit proper before finding a spot away from all the people to activate Mount Loft VK5/SE-005 and Cleland Conservation Park, making 47 contacts. I packed up and made my way back to Mount Barker for the night." — peterfreeman • May 19, 2017
"Visiting Adelaide, I heard this was a good hike. Don't be fooled by the elevation. You are pretty much going from sea level. Not to mention climbing it a day after a 14 hour flight from the states. Great views of Adelaide and the coast. Wild Roos along the trail as well." — ClimbingRandy • Dec 17, 2010
