We all qualified the summit before packing up and heading back along Misery Trail to a parking spot close to the access route to Peak 1647 m a.k.a. Mount Misery Range VK3/VG-008. We walked a short distance on the track before heading roughly east to navigate the low scrub beneath the snow gums to reach the saddle before climbing up to the summit. Here we qualified the summit on VHF using handheld radios. He then returned to the car and drove back to Hotham and then up to the summit for late afternoon nibbles and drinks. Several of the others in the broader group activated the summit. We then headed to The general Store for dinner." — peterfreeman • Feb 7, 2021
