"I did some hiking over in the Fore River Sanctuary, then had a beer at Gritty's for my Views and Brews. Then I drove to Hiram and hiked Mt Cutler. The Barnes Tr was steep in places. There were some nice views on the way over the ridgeline. At the notch, I followed a herd path to the true summit of Cutler. There were massive ant mounds near the summit and some awesome and unique views near the summit. I came down a trail and made a nice loop of it. Found my first tick of the year. "A relatively calm day this winter in Maine took the opportunity to get out for a hike. Cutler is a great little peak for a warm up hike and close by here in southern Maine. It was pretty hazy so the views weren't great. The cliff is always fun and a little hairy when shear ice. Good thing for ice stabilizers! Took in the quite second summit for a time before heading back via the snow mobile trail. Pretty uneventful hike all and all but always worth it! " — tvanrosendael • Feb 1, 2014
"Quick climb up to the summit. This is a great peak because its pretty steep so you are rewarded rather quickly. Climbs over 500 ft in .3 miles. Ant hills cover the summit. Pretty neat!" — Selrahc2nd • Jul 28, 2013
"Awesome hike along the cliffs with views of the Saco river. As you start this hike you'll see a sign that warns that the trail is difficult, and you should not do it if you aren't in good physical condition. That sign isn't kidding, Yeah missed that sign! But the hike was great amazing views! Had some snow to contend with too!" — tvanrosendael • Nov 10, 2012
