"With Charlie. First time up Mt Anthony. Found a well-maintained trail that faded into an easy-to-follow path with a few steep sections. Viewless joyless summit with cell tower + shack detritus but found a nice viewpoint down on Zorba’s(Zelda’s? Zorros?) trail loop. Parked at gym and walked up past the mansion to the kiosk. My track will bring you on a good route with zero bushwhacking." — scott • Jun 21, 2023

"Trails are not well marked at all. Bushwhacked to the summit from the kiosk at the end of the parking lot. Summit is nondescript with cell towers all around, no views. Headed down the trail we found there - basically a very steep logging road. When we got back to the kiosk, we wandered over to the Everett Mansion to see the monuments there. It is a shame that these are not being maintained, they are beautiful. A nice day for a hike, but lots of work needs to be done to make this a welcoming trail." — PJSelmer • Oct 22, 2017

"Missed a turn, took long detour back to the top and carefully descended. As a consequence, I got back to my car at dusk. A very steep, difficult climb for not that great of a payoff. The towers were interesting, but not scenic." — barbaratraver • Nov 6, 2013

"I'm definitely not the first to climb this. I was in Bennington and thought this would be good to add, this is a big part of Bennington's history and there are a lot of great points of interest on Mount Anthony. Unfortunately I only had a phone with me so the pictures aren't great, but hopefully you will get a small glimpse of this piece of history. The trail up (Mount Anthony Summit Trail) is extremely steep and the summit is pretty full of trees so there's no good edge to get pictures of the town from. There was however a tower at the top that displayed Lattitude, Longitude so I took a pic by that. The whole trail was about 2 hours; hour and a half up and maybe a half hour down. It is THAT steep, don't let the pictures fool you. It was a good day, good hike, and I hope others have the opportunity to visit now that they can see a bit of it. " — daremick • Apr 15, 2012
