"Parked between Lamon Burn and the Cattery, walked up the ATV track to the summit in 15 minutes. An excellent viewpoint on a good day, with views to Arran and Ailsa Craig to the west, the southern highlands to the north (from the Cowal Hills north west to the left; Ben Arthur, Beinn Ime, Ben Vorlich, Ben Lomond, Beinn Chabhair, An Caisteal, Beinn a'Chroin, Cruach Ardrain, Ben More & Stob Binnein, over to Ben Ledi and Meikle Bin on the right), Tinto & Nutberry Hill to the east and Cairn Table south with the Lowther Hills (SE) and Galloway Hills (SW) in the distance." — ChrisMac • Jun 2, 2017
"Solo. Parked at layby on B743 at Head of Greenock Water. SW on traces of track beside drainage ditch. Continued with no track or path through heathery terrain to summit. There's a trig point and cairn." — peter43 • Jun 4, 2013
