"Ladyface Mountain was the first of three summits on the day. After finding the obscure parking area (essentially it's parking on the shoulder of Kanan Road), I hit the use trail, which climbs steeply right away. The pathway goes along the ridge line for the most part, yielding great views every step of the way. At about 3/4 of the way up, the trail goes straight into a class 4 climb at one of the false summits. I found three hikers there confused about where to go next. I plowed through the slightly overgrown route (fortunately I wore my long pants), and eventually made it to a Class 3 high point with a pole sticking out of it. "Started at the east trailhead off Kanan. About 3/4 way up you reach the first class 3 climbing on volcanic-type rock. There are some slippery, loose dirt areas. At the top there are 3 rocky peaks, of which the 3rd one is the tallest. Take the south trail from peak 1 to peak 2 and the north trail from peak 2 to peak 3." — srphilip • Jul 18, 2011
