- Highest peak in the Madison Range
Latest summits
"A fun, remote peak in Montana's Madison Range. Long approach in was broken up with a basecamp 4 miles into the drainage. Summit day produced great weather, as many September days in Montana can become. Route finding became tricky on last 300 feet of approach -- lots of hidden ledges, cracks, and more or less challenging ways to work through the granite outcrops that exist on the summit massif. Fun challenge that requires scrambling and some possible 4th class work.
Views can be had over to several mountain ranges of Montana and into Idaho and Wyoming -- haze of summer smoke hindered some of the long distance views, but never a disappointing moment on this trip. Long day summitting and then back out to the truck, rewarded by a beer in Bozeman on the way home." — MarmotHead • Sep 2, 2018
