"Quick hike to the summit from the 16 Mile Parking Area. Gorgeous views of the West Fork of Beaver Creek Valley from the midway point to the summit. A few sprinkles as we concluded the hike. " — rick-brown • Aug 19, 2024
"Found the trailhead at the well-known pull-off on the way down from Pikes. Easy quick ascent to this Teller County High Point (despite the altitude and the wind!). The views held up all day with just a few afternoon sprinkles." — SteveM_StickMan • Aug 13, 2024
"1. Tagged as part of my ascent of Pikes Peak.
2. 2nd peak tagged on the way up to Pikes Peak.
3. 3rd peak tagged on my way up to Pikes Peak. Weather was moving in so I made it quick.
4. First 14er up from Crags! Got some pizza and donuts at the top (Homer Simpson). Caught a ride down from the top." — benyboy • Sep 30, 2023
"Flew into Denver, CO with Zach (he stayed behind after Carol's moms memorial service). We preped and got about 3.5 hours of sleep and left for the trailed around 4am. Started the Crag's route up to the Pikes Peak summit in the dark. Fitness felt good. We tried to put up a DJI Mavic Mini drone below he treeline but had issues with wind. After some exploration in the snow fields we continued our ascent on up to the summit. Around 13k we both really started to feel the effects of poor rest and flying in from PA to the elevation. We struggled to say the least up to 14k at the summit where Carol was waiting for us at the visitor's center. Carol bought us donuts and waters - I got Kevin Knezic a PP shirt for letting me borrow his drone and we descended in Carol's MDX. We had to stop at the brake check station due to brake overheating. From there it was a drop off to get Zach's Suburban and back to his house for some Chick Fila and off to Taos, NM where we attempted a summit on Wheeler (high point of NM) in the snow." — wiweasel • May 10, 2023
