"On a gorgeous, perfectly clear last day of summer, I drove with my dog over to a tiny dirt pull-off across from the now defunct Green Pond Marina building on Green Pond Road. We crossed the street and saw a wide dirt road to the left of that large, abandoned building. Taking that wide and very rocky road into the woods about 500 feet we found a series of ATV trails. That zig-zag series of wide trails led us to the summit; the end of Tower Road, where a large communication building and tower are found. The complex appears to be abandoned and is covered with graffiti. The high point was an overgrown area behind the building’s southeast side that offered limited views of Timberbrook Lake in the valley below. There are very steep cliffs less than 50 feet southeast of that point that would no doubt offer a better eastern view, but I lacked the bravery to approach them. So back to the car we went.
