"Beautiful day. Our party of 3 beat the smoke to the summit by a matter of hours — glad we made the trip no later. Good, easy hiking for the first ~5km you til the first scramble/boulder field. After that you rejoin the trail and the route is obvious the rest of the way up, although it gets steeper. One “high consequence” section for ~50m of walking a crack through slick rock with exposure, but any reasonably fit individual should have no problem here. 8 hour day." — J_graves5 • Aug 30, 2025

"Intended to sunrise Tangle Ridge, however after doing sunset on Boundary Peak we just weren't feeling the wait and honestly lacked motivation. I think back to back sunset / sunrise sounds good from the couch at home but is a bit ambitious, especially when you already feel like a zombie. We opted to drive home and hit up Tunnel Mtn to break up the drive and get a little more exercise. I had been up here before but Jake hadn't, so new summit for him - yay! "Cold morning had a late start so ended up here. Skied up the westside trail and went to the actual marked summit.
